Yin Zhai Feng Shui is the way to exhibit benevolence and filial piety 隂宅風水仁孝之術也。
The annotation of the Burial Book 葬書 by Guo Pu 郭璞 as found in Si Ku Quan Shu 四庫全書 points out one very important point. It says that burial involves the heart of the son who buries his parents and not the bones of the buried and that to benefit from Feng Shui, it is not because of the mountain and water, it is because of the sincerity of the heart. 嗚呼非葬骨也,乃葬人之心也;非山川之靈,亦人心自靈耳。
Unfortunately, how the mountain and water (together with the facing of the tomb) can benefit the descendants has been exaggerated to an obscene extent. The fact that all the dynasties in China deteriorated fast after the founding emperor died is ample proof that Yin Zhai Feng Shui simply does not work in the way people expect it to work.
To bury the dead in a place with beautiful mountain and water is to provide a good place for the deceased to rest in peace. When this is done, the children have shown good filial piety and they are blessed beause of the qi of love flowing between the dead and the living. This is all.

That's exactly what I think as well!
The whole idea of Yin Zhai feng shui is based on the Chinese concept of filial piety. And nothing too much about it. ;-)
To bury the dead with only fame and fortune for the living simply misses the point.
